A unique Tuscan picnic in a breathtaking atmosphere

The Caseificio Cugusi dairy in Montepulciano offers a unique Tuscan picnic in a breathtaking atmosphere: While sitting in a shaded area which has especially been designed for that purpose, in front of the dairy, you can taste all the types of cheese and local sausage and ham delicacies, accompanied by a glass of local wine or beer maybe, while enjoying the marvellous view of the Tuscan countryside and the impressive backdrop of the medieval town of Montepulciano with its Temple of S. Biagio.

At the entrance to the shop, you will receive a beautiful picnic basket, equipped with cutlery, boards, glasses, napkins and bread, which you can then fill with products you have selected yourself at the counter.

Their selection ranges from over 20 types of cheese, a choice of Tuscan ham and salami, honey and various sorts of jam to gherkins and salad.
The range of drinks includes wines from the best winegrowers in Montepulciano and the surrounding area, artisan and industrially produced beer, water and other non alcoholic drinks. You don’t have to taste the famous Vino Nobile made by wineries such as Avignonesi, Poliziano or Valdipiatta. There are also many local cheaper wines.
