B&B

The apartments described in the following can also be rented without the use of kitchen and living room as separate single and double rooms with bathroom.

There is no alarm clock at Casa Lauretana, but you might hear a pair of woodpeckers and lots of other birds singing around the house in the morning. Guests can sleep for as long or as short as they like. But I recommend, when you show up for breakfast, please…be hungry.

Breakfast at Casa Lauretana consists of regional products, it changes daily and with the seasons. Usually it is served outdoors, in nature, either on the loggia or on the covered terrace, but also, very romantic, at a table for two.

What else you should know

A 250 mt cross road leads to Casa Lauretana. The farmhouse stays completely isolated, surrounded by nature, and yet it is only a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Petrignano del Lago. The town has a small corner shop and a friendly bar, which is a meeting point for young and old, offering a delicious cappuccino.

Casa Lauretana is the perfect starting point for relaxed walks, long or short distance, far away from any road traffic or noise. The famous Pilgrim road Via Romea which starts in Northern Germany, passes nearby the farmhouse.

The philosophy of the host is based on making her guests “feel at home” and enjoy the panoramic relaxation, so that who ever remains even just for one day afterwards feels ready to face the daily routine with coolness and new energies.

The host, speaks 5 languages and is at the guests’ disposal. She knows how to transmit her love for this country to all who have not yet experienced it. She gives you all kinds of inside tips for touristic activities, and, on request, she would be pleased to go to the market with you or source local producers of wine, olive oil or Pecorino cheese.

Pets are not allowed.

My beloved Umbria

Is it the beauty of a little chapel or the Terracotta tiles of some secluded farm glittering a reddish orange in the evening sun?

Or maybe the shades greyish green of the cypresses and olive groves emerging from the morning fog? Is it the uniquely serene delete soft countryside around Lago Trasimeno with its utterly charming little towns?

It is all of those and much more, along with the kindness of the people in this region, their calm, slower pace of life, their deep love for family and spectacular food which all contribute to the quality of life here.

Wealth, power and industry have not yet taken over this particular spot of the world. We can only hope that this will continue.
